Burton upon Trent
Brewing town with big 1930s semis and long drives; gravel drives and block paving are common jobs here.
Loughborough
University town; landlords book end-of-tenancy cleans and garden tidy-ups every summer.
Ilkeston
Close to my Nottingham round, with terraced streets, small yards and drives needing a first proper clean.
Long Eaton
On my regular route between Derby and Nottingham. Patios, hedges and fortnightly lawn rounds.
Belper
Mill town with stone walls, sloping gardens and sandstone that loves going green in the Derwent valley damp.
Chesterfield
The crooked spire town; big detached plots on the west side, with hedges and drives both needing keeping on top of.
Ashbourne
Gateway to the Peaks, with period properties, stone flags and gravel drives, plus holiday-let gardens to keep smart.
Swadlincote & South Derbyshire
New estates with imprinted concrete and fast-growing conifers: regular maintenance country.
